What Information is Sunrise gathering about its visitors, and how is it being used?

Every computer connected to the Internet is provided with a domain name (e.g. and an IP Address (e.g. When a visitor requests a page from within the Web site, our Web Servers automatically identify and log the HTTP request that is made to our Web Server. The information so collected, none of which reveals anything personal about you, includes:

  1. The IP address of the site that may have referred you

  2. Your IP address

  3. The web page that you may have linked to us from

  4. The version and make of browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 6)

  5. The operating system that you may be running (e.g. Windows)

  6. Search words that are passed from a search engine (e.g. Google or MSN)

This practice of collecting this data is generally standard on all web servers on the Internet today, and allows us to track visitor traffic to verify that our website is compatible with the various browsers and operating systems of our visitors, and to track the effectiveness of our promotion of our website and its relevance to our customers and potential customers.

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. How does Sunrise protect my personal data?

Sunrise uses reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure. We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure or unauthorized modification. All our employees who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obligated to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.

What other information does Sunrise collect or request?

We may also request your e-mail address or mailing address for the purposes of conducting a survey, or to contact you for additional information by your request. Whenever we request the identity of a visitor, we will clearly indicate the purpose of the inquiry before the information is requested. We maintain a strict ìNo Spamî policy that means we do not intend to sell, rent or otherwise give your e-mail address to a third- party, without your consent.

In addition, Sunrise will not send you e-mail that you have not agreed to receive. If you are an existing or past customer of Sunrise, we will use email to contact you regarding your account and business with us, or to inform you of new products or services that we offer, or for any other reason for which we might typically contact you by telephone or postal mail. If you wish to have specific communications with a member of the Sunrise staff, you will be required to provide specific information that will be routed to the appropriate contact within Sunrise.

Will Sunrise disclose information collected to Third Parties?

We occasionally employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include vendors employed for website or database design, providing marketing assistance, and processing credit card payments. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.. Obviously, however, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of these commitments. As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy subsidiaries or business units. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to these pre-existing commitments.
