Home / Turf Care

Starting in March/April 2024, we will now be offering select Turf Care services. These annual Turf Care maintenance programs help keep your lawn healthy and vibrant with convenient and affordable services.

How To Start

Every landscape is different and requires a unique touch. With that in mind we offer two annual, non-contract programs with several additional service options. Speak with one of our Account Mangers today for help selecting the program which best fits you and your landscape at (888) 376-9109 or email us at info@sunrisepest.com. We can’t wait to hear from you!

First, pick your program. We offer both a 4-step and 5-step application process, serviced over the course of a year.

4-Step Program (Basic Care)

5-Step Program (Premium Care)

Then select from our Optional Service Add-ons:

  • Insecticide Treatment — Grub Control, Crane Flies, Fleas in the yard
  • Lime Application — Moss Control, PH Balancing
  • Aeration — Thickens Turf, Helps with Moss Control
  • Overseeding — Promotes hearty and robust growth
  • Fungicide — Helps Reduce Fungal Growth

Once Service Begins

Prior to the first treatment you will receive a Preparation List to go over before a servicing technician comes out for the first application. From there a licensed Turf Care Specialist will assess your lawn on site and let you know what to expect and be prepared for over the course of treatments. No two lawns are the same and what works for the neighbors across the street may not work best for your landscape. Sunrise will work with you to achieve the best results for keeping your lawn healthy and green.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It’s recommended to wait at least 24 hours to ensure the products have settled in. If you mow before materials have dried, they are going to be scattered about rather than effectively placed.
Most commonly you would want to wait 24-48 hours before allowing people and pets onto the lawn. The treated areas will be flagged with NO ENTRY signage and your Turf Care professional will let you know the best amount of time to wait for re-entry based on what materials are used.
Most services will need to be conducted on drier days. Some materials will require watering. Your Turf Care professional will inform you of the best regimen for your lawn.
Early morning is best (between 2am-6am) as this is a cooler time without sun beaming down. This will help the soil absorb moisture without a lot of evaporation. Ideally you want to water 3x a week (1-2 inches of water in total), however some grass types may require different frequencies or amounts of water.
All lawns are different and it may take some time to determine the best maintenance practices for your particular landscape. This may come down to the type of grass, how much watering is done, mowing practices, maybe even soil PH. Consult with your Turf Care professional to determine the best approach for your lawn.

Other Fun Turf Facts

  • Did you know that a healthy lawn produces an average of 3x more oxygen than trees? A 50 square foot lawn will produce enough oxygen roughly for a family of four.
  • Well maintained lawns will increase curb appeal, which often translates to greater profit when selling a home.
  • Lawn fertilization strengthens grass and root systems, making your lawn less vulnerable to disease and more resistant to pests. Evenly distributed fertilization will also improve grass growth and protect soil from environmental stressors such as increased rainfall or drought. In addition, healthy, maintained lawns help prevent soil erosion and can assist with flooding, absorbing water like a sponge.
